Who we are
GarageCheck is provided by Pedro Campelo, trading as GarageCheck, in the United Kingdom ("we"). Contact: garagecheckhq@gmail.com. By creating an account or using GarageCheck you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
The service
GarageCheck lets garages record vehicle inspections, keep customer and vehicle records, produce PDF reports and share records between approved staff. It is a business tool for garages and the people who work in them, not a consumer service. You must be 16 or over to create an account.
Pilot
GarageCheck is in an early pilot. Features may change, and there may be faults. Keep backups of your records (Settings → Garage details → Backup & Restore). Payments are not switched on during the pilot. Before anything is charged we will tell you the prices, VAT and cancellation terms, and you will choose whether to subscribe.
Accounts and garages
- The garage owner creates the garage and controls its staff, settings and any subscription.
- Staff join with the garage's invite code and the owner's approval. The owner can remove staff at any time.
- Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for what is done with your account and, as an owner, for who you approve.
Your records
The garage owns and controls the customer, vehicle and inspection records it enters. We process them only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. The garage is responsible for having a lawful reason to record its customers' details and for answering its customers' questions about them.
Acceptable use
Do not use GarageCheck to break the law, to store data you have no right to hold, to try to reach another garage's records, or to interfere with or overload the service.
Reports
GarageCheck reports record the visual and accessible checks your garage chose to carry out. They are not an MOT test certificate and do not replace one. The garage is responsible for the checks it carries out and the advice it gives to its customers.
Availability and liability
We aim to keep GarageCheck available and your records safe, but we cannot promise the service will always be available or free of faults. The app keeps working on your phone without signal and syncs later. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, during the pilot we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit or business.
Ending use
You can stop using GarageCheck at any time and delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete account) or from Delete your account. An owner can close a garage; its records are deleted 14 days later. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date above and ask you to agree again in the app.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
