What is GarageCheck?

GarageCheck is an Android app for independent garages in the UK. It replaces paper inspection sheets: technicians run Safety Checks and Full Services on a phone, record results, notes, measurements and photos, and send the customer a professional PDF report.

Is GarageCheck available now?

GarageCheck is in a limited pilot. The Android app is in closed testing on Google Play, so it isn't publicly downloadable yet. Garages can ask to join the pilot.

How do I join the pilot?

Email garagecheckhq@gmail.com with your garage's name and the Google account email you'll use for testing. We'll add that account to the Google Play test and reply with next steps.

Can GarageCheck work offline?

Yes. You can carry out inspections without an internet connection. Records are kept on the phone and sync when the connection returns.

Can I add employees?

Yes. Share your garage's invite code with your staff. Each person asks to join, and you approve them before they get access. Roles are Owner and Technician, and you can remove staff at any time.

Starter includes up to 3 additional staff members; Pro and Founding Garage include up to 10.

Can I customise reports?

Reports carry your garage's name, logo and contact details, such as your address, phone number, email and website. The rest of the report reflects the inspection your technician completed.

What languages are supported?

The app is available in English, Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish. Customer PDF reports are always in English.

How does the free trial work?

New garages start with a free 14-day trial. Payments aren't switched on during the pilot, so nothing is charged. If a garage doesn't subscribe, its records stay available to view and export.

When will payments begin?

Not during the pilot. Before anything is charged, we'll tell you the prices, VAT and cancellation terms, and you choose whether to subscribe. Subscriptions will be handled through Google Play.

Is GarageCheck available on iPhone?

Not at the moment. GarageCheck is currently available for Android only. If an iPhone version matters to your garage, let us know.

Is a GarageCheck report an MOT?

No. A GarageCheck report records the visual and accessible checks your garage chose to carry out. It is not an MOT test certificate and does not replace one.

Where is my data stored?

Garage records and photos are stored in London, UK. We don't show adverts, use analytics tracking or sell data. The Privacy Policy has the details.
